On May 11th, 2023, the Press Conference to officially kick off the rehabilitation of the Mosul Cultural Museum was held inside the museum, which is the second largest museum in Iraq and was destroyed in 2015. A number of prestigious figures attended the event, including representatives from ALIPH – International alliance for the protection of heritage in conflict areas, Smithsonian Institution, Musée du Louvre, and World Monuments Fund in addition to the Minister of Culture, Mosul’s governor, and others.
